Once upon a time, many a summer and winter ago, there was in Fairyland a kingdom called Giant’s Dock. And the weather there was gentle, and the fisherfolk there were happy, and the seas all around were kind, for they all loved their ruler, the giantess Queen Celadore.

And Celadore was gentle, and happy, and kind, for she had in her court three subjects who she dearly loved: Geath, the wizard; Prince Arren, the hero; and her handsome selkie consort, Way.

Before the Giant’s Dock was drowned, and lost between worlds…

Slipped between worlds in their desperate flight from Mortal London, the Circus Under the Hills find themselves bedraggled and gasping on the shore beside the Sea of Sunken Sorrows. Esmerelda goes exploring, Fimbly Dun feels rather perturbed, and Grimbles lends a hand.
