Susi grew up on a beautiful mountain farm in Madison County, NC. She and her younger brother, mother, and father went into town twice a year for goods, lived off the land, and thrived on $200.00 a year.

Susi graduated from Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC, lived in France for twenty years, where she earned a culinary diploma while playing music for a living and raising three amazing children. She has now returned to her roots, holding monthly foraging cooking-dining experiences, and is director of many culinary adventures.

Her new book, Cooking with Truffles, is a beautiful work that will delight your senses. Susi also shares the magic of doing what you love best and seeing where it takes you.
