Evelyn Horan is an Irish Music therapist and practicioner in guided Imagery and Music. She has a wealth of experience from her years as a national school teacher and her time in Peru. In 1995, she went to New York to train as a Music Therapist. In this episode we hear about her experiences from 1998 – 2002, where she worked as a Music Therapist and Spiritual Co-Ordinator in a predominantly Jewish hospital in the Bronx, New York. She shares stories from her work with survivors of 9/11 when the Twin Towers came down in New York.Evelyn is so grateful for the generosity of Sisters of Mercy who helped her gain her training in Music Therapy. She is now an honorary member of IACAT and she feels her life continues to be enriched by all these experiences.
