When your life passes before your eyes, I hope you’re treated to plenty of shining moments. Not just the changes of address or the big promotions, but the epiphanies -- when you realized just how much you had to offer the world or just how wrong your naysayers were. And let’s not forget the supposedly ordinary moments, like the giggle fit Katie and I had in a public pool when she was little. Those giggles! I’ll be thinking of them when I take my last breath. There’s still time to create a better highlight reel, and in this edition of Doing What Works we’ll show you how.

Here are your show notes…

Darrell and Katie and I were big fans of the HGTV show Fixer Upper [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixer_Upper_(TV_series)].

The college basketball postseason tournament called March Madness concludes with “One Shining Moment” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Shining_Moment].

“The turning point in your life is when you stop doing work you hate and start doing work you love.” That’s from Harvey Mackay [https://twitter.com/HarveyMackay]. Maureen’s version of that is: “The turning point in your life is when you stop seeking approval from people you don’t crave more time with.”

“Today’s the day!” That’s what Scott Adams [https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays] suggests you wake up thinking [https://www.huffpost.com/entry/did-you-know-goals-are-fo_b_7719012].
