Don Reichelt is a trail and ultra runner who has set multiple world records and finished some of the world's most challenging ultra-endurance events. Most recently, he broke 3 separate world records in 24 hours: furthest distance run on a manual treadmill in 12 hours, running 65.63 miles, fastest time to 100 miles on a manual treadmill, in 19:52:24, and furthest distance run on a manual treadmill in 24 hours, running 114.24 miles. He has countless ultra marathon finishes and podiums with highlights including a 100-mile trail best of 13:16 (7:58 per mile), and a 2018 podium finish at the Badwater 135. His A race for 2023 is Cocodona 250: 250 miles from just outside of Phoenix to Flagstaff, AZ. Don is also a running coach for athletes of all distances and goals. In this episode, Don shares how he went from getting cut from his high school cross-country team to now sponsored athlete and one of the top ultra-endurance athletes on the planet. Don emphasizes that we ALL have the power to live a life without limits, but it takes commitment, discipline, and consistency day after day in order to see and feel the progress. We don't just wake up and become successful. Success is a byproduct of how we choose to spend our time, the people we surround ourselves with, and what we want our legacy in this life to look like.


He currently lives and trains in Fairplay, Colorado with his wife and two dogs.
