Albert “Albie” Masland, Jr, is a runner of continents, husband, father, lover of humans, and liver of life. Albie is the Vice President of Government Sales at NuFabrx where they hold the patent to “put medicine in your clothes” to support pain, recovery, medical applications, and beyond. Before that, he served in various programmatic and partnership roles with Travis Manion Foundation where they empower Veterans and Families of Fallen Heroes to develop character in future generations. He also ran 3,205 miles across the USA in support of the Travis Manion Foundation.

In this episode, Albie shares how shame, failure, and a lack of purpose ultimately led him to run across the United States. When you are doing something or are a part of something bigger than yourself, you can grit your teeth together, push harder, and get the job done. On top of that, you will be able to discover just how far you can test your mind, body, and spirit. Albie ran across the country and found himself along the way.

We also discuss different ways to get out of a funk and back on track, why it is important to do the things that “suck” in life, the benefits of moving your body, exercising, and dancing, the power of manifestation, all of the lessons Albie still carries with him after running across the country, who he would invite to a dinner party, and much more.
