What is the call to action for Black Maternal Health week? To save our black moms. All moms deserve to deliver safely, to be heard during postpartum care and more. But we know that there is a disparity. According to the CDC: Black women are three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women. Multiple factors contribute to these disparities, such as variation in quality healthcare, underlying chronic conditions, structural racism, and implicit bias.

We can do our part by believing and supporting black moms.
