In this episode, Maureen and I chat about what polarization is and how to navigate conversation during these trying times.  We also chat about the real need for connection and how to build upon it with your family and friends.

Maureen Ake is a licensed marriage and family therapist where she co-owns and practices at The Stuart
Center for Couples and Families (Stuart, FL). Maureen’s biggest professional passion is to help her
clients uncover their own unique and powerful soul script. Maureen works with individuals, couples, and
families to discover and explore meaning within themselves, in intimate and professional
relationships. Through understanding core belief systems, sessions are focused on breaking painful issues
that affect personal, relational, and professional life.
Maureen teaches Mindfulness and Emotional Wellness as well as Nutritional Psychology for John Patrick
University for Health and Applied Sciences. Maureen recently co-authored “Open Heart Surgery in 21
Weeks,” with friend and colleague, Aurthur Tassinello. This self-help guided workbook aids in
uncovering negative belief systems and patterns, while encouraging small steps to living a fuller and
richer emotional life.
