In this episode, we are joined by Fauzia Jan, B.Ed., PG Dip (Additional Learning Needs), ATS, AMBDA, AFHEA, M.Ed. 

 

With over 20 years of experience teaching in primary schools, Fauzia is a Reading Specialist and presently teaches as a Reading Recovery teacher in a primary school alongside lecturing at a local college in the Teacher Training Department. Throughout her career she has undertaken scholarly activity achieving AMBDA and ATS having recently completed a Master’s in Education, achieving a Distinction. In December 2020 she was invited to present her experiences at the All-Party Parliamentary Group – Dyslexia and SpLD where she recommended the need to involve and empower parents from all communities in understanding and supporting the needs of their children.  

 

She passionately believes that ‘Every Child is a Reader’ and should be provided with the support they require.
