First, think about the purpose of life. Is this life designed to be a walk in the park where we collect fun experiences and then leave? Is there a larger purpose that involves learning important truths and having growth experiences? I think of this as a sports playbook. My life playbook probably has me winning every game and having fun. God’s playbook is for me to learn and grow. Those are wildly different goals.
