May is officially dubbed “strategy season” for those of us in marketing-land, and in the lead up to EOFY there’s no better time than the present to revisit your marketing strategy, goals, customer behaviour and success metrics for the next financial year.

As we’ve touched on in our “S1E10 - 4Cs of COVID” episode, the motivators, and behaviour of our customers have changed dramatically in the last financial year, with a lot of people looking for brands who connect with their personal values, make them feel safe and provide a sense of community.

So make sure you take a look at your customers (run some surveys and look at your data) and use these insights to inform your strategy. You may have also noticed that a lot of brands are currently running brand awareness campaigns that connect with their audience on an emotional level, rather than ‘hard sell’ lead generation campaigns. Is this something you should consider for your new FY marketing strategy?
