Esme is our first MD on the podcast and we discuss how she made the step from leading the Sales function to leading a business. For Esme, it was a conversation with an HR leader who challenged her to vocalise her career goal. That shift in mindset enabled the business to support Esme in that journey, to give her the tools and confidence to take that step.   She also discusses the role of an MD, the part the MD plays in managing a healthy tension between Sales and Marketing and how they prioritise their time between managing internal vs external factors.
