We’re at the tail end of Eclipse Season this week. The Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, occurring on Friday, promises to be a doozy, with some big endings and major releases. Holding onto our center in the eye of the storm will be the key to getting through it. Consciously letting go will put us ahead of the game. When the cosmos gifts us with these big events, it’s as if we’ve got our foot all the way down on the gas. Time waits for no one right now. Of course, this has to occur during a Mercury retrograde, doesn’t it? Decision-making is tough enough, but perhaps this comes as a blessing. Instead of pushing and forcing, how about we let go? Let go and let, well, something else take the reins. There’s something so delicious about relinquishing control this week.
Adding to the mix is Pluto going retrograde right at the start of the week. Retrograde is a strange thing. On one hand, it dulls the effects of a planet, renders it weaker. On the other hand, it emphasizes the energy of said planet. Pluto is a whole lot like Scorpio, so there’s a congruence this week, what with the Scorpio Eclipse being there and all. Again, the call to heed is one of surrender. Our true power lies in the moment we choose to control what we can, and walk away from what we cannot - particularly over these next few months.
Venus and Neptune square each other on Thursday, doing a dangerous dance together, reflecting the potential for rose-colored glasses and sweet nothings. Being swept away on a sea of romance is all well and good, but if we do so, we need to keep at least one foot – even a baby toe – firmly on the ground. This way, we avoid disappointment when the fantasy draws to a close. As they say, ‘all good things must come to an end.’ So, let’s make that ending spectacular, shall we?
