Everyday parts of our media and surprisingly innocuous things were banned from movies, TV, and radio for the better part of the twentieth century. Lucille Ball was pregnant on "I Love Lucy," but they weren't allowed to say the word 'pregnant.' Movies were forbidden from showing drugs, murder, silhouettes of nudity, "excessive kissing," and a lot more.
