Summary
For all of those law students leaving university without a training contract (which is the majority), working as a paralegal can often be perceived as 'plan B'. This is just not the case! Gaining paralegal experience prior to commencing your training contract is invaluable. It allows you to work for a firm and gain an insight into their culture before committing to a two year training contract. Also, working in the industry allows you develop your legal skillset giving you an edge when you commence your training contract.
