256 episodes - English - Latest episode: 5 days ago -

Yelling at concrete isbi-weekly podcast for coffee and conversation, taking a look at the life and interests of the guests who chat with me as well as taking an introverted look at topics I'm interested in!

Graham is an artist and passionate creative who thrives on generating conversation and discussion in a more abstract manner than just posing questions so three weeks out of each month with a one week breather he sits down to have a cuppa and chat. When guests come they bring their own topic so every episode is lead by the guests interests and what they want to discuss and the solo casts are wandering thoughts on subjects which interest Graham. The goal is keep the subjects diverse and give people a space to just have a chill and talk about what's really going on.

You can catch the show three times a month on a Friday and follow it through the year as Graham brings you a range of guests and topics. The key word is conversation so we don't edit we just talk and that allows us to relax and really get into subjects. I hope you'll join us.

May 28, 2021 07:02 - 24 minutes - 22.2 MB

Your work has no point...That's kind of the point. This week, I sit down with one of the most elusive guests I've had which is Francesca Ludikar! Francesca is a photographer working out of Toronto, recently made creative director of the band Non-point and I found her through her work with Sumo Cyco a band which I've managed to see live a handful of times! It's all very independent and metal and I love it. But what caught my attention throughout was their insanely cool visuals/shoots and color which is mainly due to them all working with Fr...

This week I sit down with a slightly nervous Yanna Law, Yanna is a painter based in Lincolnshire and creates stunning surreal often ornate paintings. Episode 148 - What I found in "The Founder"

March 12, 2021 00:00 - 27 minutes - 24.8 MB

I watch a lot of biopics, a lot of true crime a lot of stories based on stories and it's a very mixed bag. Some are glorious and detailed and unfold a life you could only wish to live and so dive vicariously through the window into them. Others are trashy and awful car crashes which you cannot look away from and some are dramatic over exaggerations of what in reality are very simple events and some. Some are just bad, badly told badly done bad. I recently watched "The founder" which is ab...

Episode 146 - Choose a hostile audience on occasion.

February 19, 2021 00:00 - 27 minutes - 25.2 MB

This week i get reflective on feedback. Having exposed my work and self to the world throughout the lock-down periods I have had my fair share of positive and negative encouragement and received many a question about how i handle criticism so I wanted to look into that a little more. I think it's good to have the occasional negative comment because it allows you to really balance your work outside of the echo chamber which can be your friends, family and people who already know your style. ...

Why are you so weird? Counter point, why are you so normal? This week we get a little dark so a warning for those struggle with death and other such topics as we discuss just how i ended up covering the darker side of life and why I'm so comfortable with it. Hopefully giving those with kids they dont understand a little insight into why they may be leaning toward more "dark" content but also telling those of us who have a noir side that what we've done is pretty natural.
