Today’s guest is Marissa Hamon, a self love and life coach and a woman who I am excited to get to know a little more during today’s conversation. Marissa has personally dealt with limiting beliefs, depression, emotional eating, body shame, not being able to love and accept herself, and feelings of powerlessness, unworthiness, and not being good enough. Because of her own healing journey, she knows that it is possible to heal and overcome any life difficulties, and live a happy, joyful, fulfilled life when given the right tools and support. I know we will be discussing how important it is to embrace the journey as we each navigate through life’s challenges, of which Marissa has experienced a few! I felt this quote of her own words perfectly introduced her today and so I will share this quote with you now.

Im SLOWLY learning - Do you do this too?? I learn something and then I forget it. I very rarely get it the first time... or sometimes even the 6th or 7th.

I learn that I'm enough, then I forget and have to relearn it. I learn that my body doesn't determin my worth, then I forget and have to relearn it. I learn that I'm a sexual being and that my body and desire for pleasure is a good thing, and then I forget and have to relearn it. I learn the importance of sleep and hydration for my mental health, then I forget and have to relearn it. I learn how to say no and set boundaries, then I forget and have to relearn it. I learn how to love myself through compassion and self responsibility, then, you guessed it, I forget and have to relearn it.

This is part of life. We learn and grow. Sometimes we forget and grow.  Today, I will embrace my relearning process.
