Vera-Lee discovered her unique artistic abilities as a form of communication through her recovery where she was unable to find words to verbalize her trauma. Years later her voice disappeared again due to life saving treatment to keep her airway open by paralyzing her vocal cords and again she used her artworks as a form of communication and healing energy.
