Episode #97

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding fasting, so I wanted to share my thoughts. Whether you're fasting to get into a deeper state of ketosis, experience Autophagy, for spiritual reasons, or to build up resiliency to food, there’s no right or wrong way to fast. It is hard to define what constitutes a fast because it is completely dependent on your end goal. Fasting has many great benefits and at the end of the day its about context and what you are trying to accomplish.

Takeaways

Does coffee break a fast? Exogenous ketones? Sweeteners? Water? How long should I fast? What time of day?  Fasting can be hard to define and there is no one answer to these questions. At the end of the day it comes down to what is your goal and what are you trying to accomplish by fasting. In this episode on What The Fat, I address some of the most common questions I get asked about fasting and how to avoid some of the most common pitfalls.
