Show Notes:

We’re all made up of different layers, like the most decadent cake! In this episode, we’re joined by mama, educational consultant, and founder of Warrior Parent Consulting, Cassie Blakely. Cassie shares how her own experience being diagnosed with ADD, anxiety, and dyslexia as well as her daughter's diagnosis with learning differences inspired her to become the resource she wished she had! Coining the term “extra layers” couldn’t be a more perfect way to flip the negative connotation learning and behavioral diagnoses have! You or your child aren’t less than because they’ve been diagnosed with ADHD or dyslexia, those “extra layers” are the unique way you experience and navigate the world around you! We dive into the power of showing up vulnerably as a parent, where parents can start if they believe their child may have learning differences, and Cassie’s experience as a parent and consultant when it comes to deciding whether or not medication is the best route for your child!
