Trauma can impact an individual for months, years, or even a lifetime. Traumatic events can be difficult to ignore; however, there are smaller events some refer to as “little t's” that have a cumulative effect on one’s life and often fly under one’s radar. Athletes are practice at being resilient and “going with the flow” when it comes to difficult situations, and may be more likely to leave these “little t's” unresolved.
