The Right Honourable John Key was the 38th Prime Minister of New Zealand and held three consecutive terms in office.

He entered Parliament after being elected MP for Helensville in 2002, and became Leader of the New Zealand National Party after only 4 short years. Another 2 years was all it took for him to achieve his childhood dream of becoming the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Prior to his political career, John Key held the position of Head of Global Foreign Exchange at Merrill Lynch, following a long career in investment banking from the mid-1980's, involving ten years in New Zealand before stints in Singapore, London, Sydney and eventually the US with Merrill Lynch.

John has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury and was educated at Burnside High School in Christchurch.
