It's Me, Billy Commentary (First Time Watch)

May 30, 2021 11:56 - 54 minutes - 19.1 MB

As a horror buff who isn't even a fan of the original Black Christmas per say, it's odd that I've been anticipating this fan film... Maybe because that 2019 remake left such a shit stain in the freshly fallen Christmas snow. But let me just say that these creators tackled this property for good reason. That is all. Enjoy, y'all.

Old Trailer 2 Reaction/Thoughts

May 27, 2021 16:58 - 19 minutes - 6.98 MB

Just when I was telling myself that I'm trying to hold onto my youthfulness as much as I possibly can, this movie had other plans... There's not much I can say about this since it's looking like quite the mystery, but I will say my curiosity has been activated. Enjoy, folks.

Fast 9 Spoiler Review

May 26, 2021 17:05 - 1 hour - 33 MB

This damn review is already long enough, so no long caption needed... I'm ready for part 10. Enjoy, y'all.

Escape Room: Tournament Of Champions Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 26, 2021 17:00 - 17 minutes - 6.56 MB

The first Escape Room movie was surprisingly okay for me... Nothing to rave about at all, but it was a pretty creative flick being as though the majority of the odds were against it. This is a property that really should've been rated R but given my bad anxiety and claustrophobia, PG-13 is a safe bet. Just the idea of the first one is uncomfortable all around. But let's see if these new escapees can find their way around what could be considered Jigsaw Jr's playroom. Enjoy, people.

The Eternals Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 24, 2021 14:32 - 18 minutes - 6.81 MB

It's pretty strange for me to be most excited this time around for a Marvel movie I completely unfamiliar with... Maybe the mystery about it has my attention along with some great casting. There's some things Disney/Marvel took some liberties with here that bother me, but I won't let that keep me away from what can possibly be an epic intro to some interesting MCU characters. Enjoy, folks.

Army Of The Dead Commentary (First Time Watch)

May 24, 2021 05:31 - 2 hours - 52.9 MB

When you cross Zack Snyder with zombies, the result is glorious... For those who don't know, just go back and watch his 2004 remake of Dawn Of The Dead. Fresh off the humble success he had with his cut of Justice League, Snyder returns to his horror roots, which I absolutely love. Sure, the premise is a big stretch. But I can appreciate seeing something different as far as zombie flicks go. And you can't go wrong with a Vegas setting. Enjoy, y'all.

The Wonder Years Teaser Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 21, 2021 17:21 - 12 minutes - 4.61 MB

This is as hype as a reaction as y'all are going to get from me today... I just can't do it. Enjoy, people.

Mosquito IntoxiCommentary (Happy 26th Anniversary)

May 20, 2021 23:08 - 1 hour - 35.1 MB

Now I'm a creature feature/monster movie/bug flick fan just as much as the next genre buff... But this is one I haven't seen since I was literally a kid, and wasn't sure if it held up or not. To keep things brief, we're about to see here if the movie sucks more than it's titular mosquitoes do. Enjoy, people.

The People Under The Stairs Commentary (Happy 56th Birthday, Sean Whalen)

May 19, 2021 19:08 - 1 hour - 37.7 MB

It's a good thing my boy Roach's birthday was today because otherwise, I think I would've kept waiting for the "right time" to cover this... This is easily one of my favorite Wes Craven films ever made, and I stand so firmly on that. From start to finish, it's such a creepy, entertaining, and socially relevant horror film altogether. And I never get tired of talking about it or watching it. Enjoy, y'all.

Fear Street Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 19, 2021 14:34 - 13 minutes - 5.04 MB

I guess with the somewhat huge success of both the Goosebumps movies and Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, the book to film trend is back in effect... But if they're doing this one here, which I don't really remember in depth, I just have a few requests: Tailypo, Ghost Train, and In A Dark Dark Room. Give me movie versions of those if y'all are taking the time out to make this into a three film Netflix event. Enjoy, folks.

Pet Sematary 1989 Commentary

May 18, 2021 21:16 - 1 hour - 39.8 MB

So news broke recently of a follow up entry to the remake of Pet Sematary... And it's safe to say that I'm not excited about it. But to gear myself up for the inevitable, I figured I'd take a trip back to horror fans' favorite ancient burial ground and talk about it during. Because when we understand that sometimes "dead is better", we can always go down this nostalgic and disturbing path and remember why this movie still holds near and dear for fans such as myself. Enjoy, y'all.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 17, 2021 20:09 - 12 minutes - 4.64 MB

Of course Snake Eyes is a fan favorite amongst the Joes, but I didn't see an origin story in the cards after the last entry... There were bits of flashback sequences that let people know about his childhood in the Rise Of Cobra flick, but I was overall disappointed we weren't getting a sequel to Retaliation. All in all, here we are and we have a film about Snake Eyes' journey, and I wasn't sure how to feel about it. Enjoy, people.

Crow 2021 Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 17, 2021 20:01 - 21 minutes - 7.9 MB

I've waited and waited, so it's finally time to check this bad boy out... A very big shout out to Justin Mane, who stars and is an executive producer here, for sending me the trailer. With a classic original film in the can, a bunch of overall lackluster sequels that followed and so many development hell moments, this is a property that deserves it's shot on screen again. And God bless the Indie filmmakers of the world for making these moves. Enjoy, y'all.

The Car Commentary (First Time Watch/Happy 44th Anniversary)

May 13, 2021 17:33 - 1 hour - 36.9 MB

As a Fast & Furious buff, this is quite the switch in terms of cars saving folks during a film... This is a flick I always see on Netflix, but never had desire to watch until last night. But since today is the anniversary of it's release, this was very fitting. I went in blind, but I didn't have these crazy expectations much at all here. It's a car that's either got a driver, or it doesn't. And it's murking townspeople off throughout. Simple things. Enjoy, people.

The Forever Purge Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 12, 2021 18:47 - 23 minutes - 8.37 MB

I actually thoroughly enjoy the Purge series... It's one of Blumhouse's best properties, and I love the liberties they take with this idea that isn't too far fetched in today's society. Not to mention that I don't hate any of the movies in the series, no matter how much they may vary. But being as though the last film was so damn great for me, this finale (so they say) has some really big shoes to fill. Enjoy, folks.

Spiral: Book Of Saw Opening Scene Reaction/Thoughts

May 11, 2021 18:08 - 21 minutes - 7.93 MB

If they want to bless me with a clip and try to win my heart back over with this series, I appreciate the attempt... I'd rather they go for the heart this way as opposed to a Jigsaw contraption I wouldn't outlast. Enjoy, y'all.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 10, 2021 14:18 - 21 minutes - 7.72 MB

This is long overdue... Especially since it's not only a follow up to a somewhat disappointing comic book film, but also because it's been pushed back like a million times. But I'm a patient person for the most part, and I was always curious how a follow up would go about with Venom and Carnage facing off throughout. All I ask is that the fight between the two symbiote goons be choreographed way better, and that I'm able to determine who is who during. That, and a darker and more horrific ton...

Jackie Brown Commentary

May 09, 2021 06:56 - 2 hours - 56.3 MB

This is damn near a first time watch for me, considering I've barely ever sat through it entirely... Had it not been for the dialogue driven moments in a Tarantino film, I wouldn't be so drawn to these. Combine that with Pam Grier as the titular character and an all star cast, and I am sold all the way home if done properly. Enjoy, people.

Smokin' Aces IntoxiCommentary

May 08, 2021 10:38 - 1 hour - 40.3 MB

This movie doesn't get the credit it deserves much at all in my opinion... The plot, the writing, the directing, the cast, the overall execution all work amazingly here and it makes for such an underrated gem. What I need is for this director to revive this epic series for both the old school and next gen action buffs who still can appreciate a good story at it's core. Enjoy, people.

The Amusement Park Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 07, 2021 13:26 - 16 minutes - 6.14 MB

If it's George A. Romero, it's got my interest... For better or worse. That being said, this has my interest a bit more than it did when it was announced. Enjoy, folks.

J. Cole Interlude Reaction/Thoughts

May 07, 2021 11:35 - 18 minutes - 6.75 MB

Of course I had to try something new and do a first time reaction episode to this here... I almost forgot it was dropping at midnight so before I got the day started, I gave it a go. J. Cole is easily thee most talented MC ever to jump on a mic and on wax, there's absolutely no debate. From the moment he opens up to the moment he closes out a track, you can see that he plots on the grand scheme of things lyrically. A storyteller if you will. And since I'm BIG on lyrics, I appreciate that. Enj...

3 Strikes Commentary

May 06, 2021 22:56 - 1 hour - 31 MB

Simple and plain, one of thee best and most underrated black cinema comedies ever made... That is all. Enjoy, y'all.

Gettin' Some Head: Best Decapitations In Horror Flicks

May 06, 2021 16:25 - 1 hour - 22.5 MB

There's many ways in horror for victims to be dispatched... And as insane as it sounds, one of the most memorable moments a film can have is when someone's noggin is completely disposed of. Yes, it's extreme but that's horror at times, depending on what you're into. I find it most interesting that horror writers have come up with inventive and wild ways for beheadings to take place during a film. Some of those scenes have stuck with me for as long as I can remember, so let me go ahead and bre...

A Quiet Place Part II Final Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 06, 2021 16:14 - 19 minutes - 7 MB

It's about damn time!... They have been keeping this movie from me long enough, and I actually am interested how they're going to expand on this story. Enjoy, people

Drive Thru Commentary (First Time Watch)

May 05, 2021 20:18 - 1 hour - 33.4 MB

Let me just say that I am one to actually have fun watching bad horror films... Lord knows that I've had my fair share of experiences with B-movies that are both great and terrible. That being said, I was very hesitant to check this out. But if I can make it through bad movies like the Day Of The Dead remake (both of them), Chain Letter and Doom, I figured I could handle Horny The Clown dispatching of some stoner teens who can't stay out of his way. Enjoy, y'all.

Rugrats Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

May 05, 2021 20:11 - 17 minutes - 6.43 MB

This is something that surprisingly has me interested enough to check out... Not that I didn't grow up on and love the original Rugrats series but if studios reboot nostalgia, we know it's hit or miss. And since I have to wait forever for my live action Thundercats nostalgia on screen, the small screen's most adventurous babies ever have to do for now. That, and the voice casting is very familiar. Enjoy, people.

Pumpkinhead: Ashes To Ashes Commentary (Shit Show Edition Pt. 8)

May 04, 2021 23:30 - 1 hour - 36.2 MB

Good Lawd, this one was an experience for sure... Not like anything I've endured, but different. Trust me. Enjoy, folks.

Snowfall Season 4 Finale Recap Commentary

May 04, 2021 23:23 - 55 minutes - 19.3 MB

Since I may have missed things and the fact that I was inspired otherwise to take a look at this, it was only right... I have to give a shout out to MarcDarkTv for bringing the ending easter egg to my attention. This is one of my favorite shows, but the finale had me in shambles and in suspense all at once. So I had to backtrack and see what was what if I missed it. Enjoy, y'all.

Looking Back On Cinema's Rowdiest High School Students

May 03, 2021 18:53 - 55 minutes - 19.4 MB

High school was quite the experience and while there definitely the fair share of terrible days, none of them made me want to take the road that some of these crazy bastards I mention during this episode... Some of these mentions are the worst of the worst, man. I'm talking about school kids so out of control that only jail, and asylum, or otherwise is their best bet. Some of the others, not so much and have redeeming qualities at least. But all in all, there's more than enough high schools w...

Knightriders: One Of George A. Romero's Most Interesting Films

May 03, 2021 14:31 - 48 minutes - 16.9 MB

I know, just as any George A. Romero fan does, that all of this guy's movies or overall ideas doesn't work on screen... On paper, maybe. But thr G.O.A.T. had a rough time doing properties outside of his beloved zombie saga. But I'm always willing to be fair and give his earlier works a shot, especially something I'm doubting will work concept wise. This was a film I never really had intentions on watching but I took a chance, and wasn't disappointed actually. This was almost like when worlds ...

Idle Hands IntoxiCommentary (Happy 22nd Anniversary)

April 30, 2021 20:29 - 1 hour - 37.1 MB

I couldn't miss out on this opportunity either... The chance to celebrate one of my favorite horror comedies ever made. While Evil Dead II may have been the one to establish things as far as possessed hands go, this is the movie that gave the idea grounded fun for me for sure. Casting, writing, directing, cinematography, etc.... It all works. And I had a ball with this, as I always have. Enjoy, y'all.

A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors Commentary (Happy Belated 57th Birthday, Ken Sagoes)

April 29, 2021 19:32 - 1 hour - 37.6 MB

In honor of the belated birthday of one of the best Dream Warriors ever on screen, I had to knock this one out... I'm slowly but surely getting to more of these entries, so I can't wait to finish up this series sooner than later. But not only was this to celebrate Ken Sagoes aka Roland Kincade, but to celebrate the best sequel in this series. As much as I want a reboot of this same premise, this one does it for me. Freddy isn't as intimidating here, but the kids he goes up against make for hi...

Why VFW Is OG Bad Assness At It's Finest

April 29, 2021 15:29 - 49 minutes - 17.3 MB

Man, when I say I should've watched this so much sooner... I kept seeing and hearing a bit about it, but I was in no way prepared. Speaking of which, be warned and prepared for this spoiler filled talk here. There's no way I could describe it otherwise. Enjoy, folks.

What To Do With Mortal Kombat II

April 28, 2021 01:17 - 1 hour - 23.1 MB

Mortal Kombat 2021 has come about and while it's safe to say that it took video game and movie buffs by storm, it also has both of those audiences interestingly divided... For better or worse, this film is still an experience. And make no mistake when I say this was a hit for me. This gave me all that I've been yearning for since I first talked about it after it's announcement. Some flaws, sure. But the pros outweigh the cons here. Now there's only a handful of things, rightfully so, that I n...

Interview With Vi3r: The Hip-Hopumentary Pt. 2

April 27, 2021 16:05 - 1 hour - 29.9 MB

Being as though last Friday was both my Little Brother's 20th birthday and his album release date, I had to jump at the opportunity to interview him and give you all a glance at not only his musical savvy but him as an individual. I couldn't be more proud of the young man he's becoming, but I'm also proud of the way he's progressing with his musical content. I have a very particular set of ears when it comes to lyrical content and music overall, but he definitely sticks out to me. Enjoy, folks.

Mortal Kombat 2021 Commentary

April 26, 2021 17:57 - 1 hour - 39.1 MB

It has begun... Simple and plain. Enjoy, y'all.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

April 22, 2021 20:09 - 20 minutes - 7.33 MB

I was able to sneak away from my daughter and knock this episode out and while I don't care for this series or sub-genre, I'm a fair man... I love to not be interested much at all and then be proven wrong after watching for the first time, so here goes nothing. Enjoy, people.

"Them" Backlash, Racially Charged Black Horror, & The Bias For Black Cinema Narratives

April 15, 2021 22:38 - 48 minutes - 16.9 MB

So Lena Waithe is under fire, on social media of all places, for the racially charged content of the new series "Them", and I've got some choice words about it... One of the things I noticed about social media is that it's the easiest way for folks to feel entitled and become instant critics. If it's about horror and good horror at that, I'm all for it. If it's racially charged, I'm not too sensitive about it, but I am definitely checking for the overall idea to overpower the racism on screen...

Fast 9 Trailer 2 Reaction/Thoughts

April 14, 2021 15:54 - 25 minutes - 9.15 MB

This is simple... Enjoy, folks.

The Chi Season 4 Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

April 08, 2021 17:12 - 23 minutes - 8.5 MB

Yesssss... I've been waiting for this since the season finale of season 3. This is a story and a set of characters I've become overly attached to from the beginning, so there's no way I couldn't be going crazy thinking about what's going to happen next. Enjoy, people.

911, Please: House Party Reboot Is On The Way

April 07, 2021 22:36 - 23 minutes - 8.59 MB

No, no, no, no, no... Nope. Absolutely not. Enjoy, y'all.

Cruella Trailer 2 Reaction/Thoughts

April 07, 2021 20:51 - 18 minutes - 6.84 MB

I think this will be all the trailers I need at this point... I didn't know what to expect the first time around, but I was actually very impressed with the look and feel of that first trailer, especially for a Disney character I was never gung ho about. Did I expect a wilder trailer this time? Sure, kind of. But I was still feeling the same as I did the first go round with this former red headed rebel. Enjoy, folks.

Fast Five Commentary

April 05, 2021 06:38 - 2 hours - 46.9 MB

There's no doubt in my mind that this is the entry that paved the way for this series to become what it's become... The introduction of The Rock, better choreographed fight scenes, crazier car action, it all started here. And of course I'm here for each and every single bit of it. Enjoy, y'all.

Space Jam: A New Legacy Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

April 03, 2021 13:52 - 17 minutes - 6.49 MB

It's a very zombified morning for me people, but I had to give this a fair shot... Especially with LeBron James being the headliner here, and me being a die hard Lakers fan. I owe it to the guy to check this out and base an opinion of my own on it. And this is coming from someone who wasn't crazy about the original. Enjoy, folks.

The Suicide Squad Trailer 2 Reaction/Thoughts (Second Chance?)

April 01, 2021 21:59 - 21 minutes - 7.67 MB

I thought this was an April Fool's joke or something, so I was hesitant to do a reaction episode... But it wasn't. It's a new trailer, with a new theme song, and tons of new footage. And maybe I have a different opinion than before. Maybe not. Enjoy, folks.

Cry Wolf Commentary

April 01, 2021 15:01 - 1 hour - 33.9 MB

I'm glad I finally got a chance to get around to this one here, because this really is one of my favorite films ever... Jeff Wadlow doesn't get the praise he deserves for this, and I stand by that opinion. Very rarely do slasher movies or thrillers map things out so meticulously throughout the course of a flick the way this does. And while the twist ending may divide majority of viewers, it doesn't change my opinions on this overall. The writing is pure genuis and not trying to copy Scream (l...

Godzilla Vs Kong Commentary (Happy 39th Birthday, Brian Tyree Henry)

March 31, 2021 19:33 - 1 hour - 41.4 MB

No lengthy caption needed. Enjoy, people.

Spiral: Book Of Saw Trailer 2 Reaction/Thoughts

March 30, 2021 14:05 - 23 minutes - 8.47 MB

The first time around didn't wow me at all... Maybe this time will be different. I really love the Saw franchise, so it kind of hurts when I decide there's a film or trailer involved that doesn't get me excited at all. I'm hoping that seasoned Saw franchise director, Darren Lynn Bousman, brings it back home after that last flop of a film for me. Enjoy, folks.

It's Me, Billy Trailer Reaction/Thoughts

March 28, 2021 14:08 - 20 minutes - 7.29 MB

This is a funny little predicament I'm in here... As someone who has his own unpopular opinions about the 1974 Black Christmas film, I'm strangely interested to see how this fan film plays out. The remake is another story, but fan films have done more good than bad in the past year or so when I review them. So having not expected a sequel film to the original Black Christmas, it'll be good to see how they follow this story and titular character in particular. Enjoy, people.
