Adversity, crisis, emergency, worry, anxiety, and uncertainty happen to everyone every single day. It could be something huge like how the human race is fighting a war against COVID-19, or it could be something completely relatable and seemingly small like spilling coffee on your shirt before the day has even started. Despite everyone facing hardships every day, there’s always that one person you know who has faced adversity after adversity and yet rises above it all achieving bigger, greater things. We often question how is it that some people are just more resilient than others? Some people can just bounce back after being knocked down over and over again. Walt Disney and JK Rowling are two (among many) of those highly resilient people. But resilience is a trait that we can work on and practice. It’s a muscle that we can strengthen and in this episode, I talk about some steps we can take to gain leverage on building resilience.
