Episode #1 - How your environment is f with you and what to do about it —Aaron Alexander
In this podcast, I am with Aaron Alexander, a movement expert, a wide reader and an author. We dive into what keeps us in flexing our visions with what we do everyday. They say that the way you walk in a room is how you walk through life. It's not just about posture, but also about the energy you exude with how you carry yourself.
The human brain works in a two-way communication scheme where you take in what the environment gives you through your senses and formulate an appropriate response in return. It's not enough to only perceive what is given, it is necessary to act upon it to see the action or change you want to see. It's a balance between the decision to be an observer or be a participant of this scenario in your head that you're plotting, becoming your thoughts.
In this podcast we also cover:
06:01 how our brain works
12:07 becoming your thoughts
14:59 an observant should be spelled observer or participant
26:36 being receptive to change and adaptation
32:15 being your own brand
34:54 be supportive and it will be enough
The root of insecurity springs from the negative perceptions of self, especially at a time where social media provides a comparison between people of different social status and advocacies. Oftentimes, you feel pressured about creating a medium of becoming your own brand that you lose sight of what's necessary and important for you. You look at others in the eyes of a competitor and generates these thoughts of not being enough. And it has got to stop. In whatever you do, mind what you think of yourself. For everyday, you are becoming your thoughts.
