1. Encourage your daughter/son to play - but don't put pressure on them.
2. Understand what your daughter/son wants from the sport and provide a supportive atmosphere.
3. Ensure your coah has the expereince to guide your daughter/son through the sporting experience.
4. Don't focus on winning - focus on improvement and development.
5. Work together to evaluate your daughter/son's sports performances.
6. Show your daughter/son respect for the courage.
7. Show respect for the coach and the team.
8. Show respect for the sport.
9. Provide a safe and nuturing environment so that your daughter/son can come to you and speak openly about what is going on for them - don't judge, just listen.
