A Trip With My Ex

In this episode, Lauren talks about her weekend antics in Joshua Tree, where, after a meltdown at the airport and almost missing her flight, she went with her ex-boyfriend, "Oh Monogomy's" Kombucha, to surprise her brother for his birthday and do an epic mushroom trip in the middle of the desert. She realized just how unique her relationship with Kombucha is these days, and also how beautiful it is despite its challenges. The one way their relationship doesn't quite work is the one thing that will ultimately keep them from being together in a traditional relationship. While maintaining a connection with little expectation of a future together can be difficult, they're learning how to navigate this shift because, at the end of the day, they both value the relationship deeply and are willing to face unpleasant feelings to be in each other's lives to some capacity.
