하나님의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 않도록 하십시오 Do not receive God's grace in vain

1. 우리의 의를 붙들고 살고자 할 때입니다.

(When we try to hold on to our own righteousness).  

고린도후서 (II Corinthians) 5:21

하나님께서는 죄를 모르시는 분에게 우리 대신으로 죄를 씌우셨습니다. 그것은 우리가 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하시려는 것입니다. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 

고린도전서 (I Corinthians) 15:9-10

나는 사도들 가운데서 가장 작은 사도입니다. 나는 사도라고 불릴 만한 자격도 없습니다. 그것은, 내가 하나님의 교회를 박해했기 때문입니다. 그러나 나는 하나님의 은혜로 오늘의 내가 되었습니다. 나에게 베풀어주신 하나님의 은혜는 헛되지 않았습니다. 나는 사도들 가운데 어느 누구보다도 더 열심히 일하였습니다. 그러나 이렇게 한 것은 내가 아니라, 나와 함께 하신 하나님의 은혜입니다. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 

로마서 (Romans) 7:18 

나는 내 속에 곧 내 육신 속에 선한 것이 깃들여 있지 않다는 것을 압니다. 나는 선을 행하려는 의지는 있으나, 그것을 실행하지는 않으니 말입니다. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.  

2. 우리가 하나님께 수치거리가 될 때 입니다. 

 (When we dishonor God.)  

고린도후서 (II Corinthians) 6:1 

우리는 하나님과 함께 일하는 사람으로서 여러분에게 권면합니다. 하나님의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 않도록 하십시오. As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.  

디도서 (Titus) 2:11-12 

모든 사람에게 하나님의 구원의 은혜가 나타났습니다. 그 은혜는 우리를 교육하여, 경건하지 않음과 속된 정욕을 버리고, 지금 이 세상에서 신중하고 의롭고 경건하게 살게 합니다. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,  

유다서 (Jude) 1:4  

몇몇 사람이 몰래 숨어들었기 때문입니다. 성경에는 그들이 받을 심판을 옛날에 미리 적어 놓았습니다. 그들은 경건하지 못한 자들로서, 우리 하나님의 은혜를 방종거리로 만들고, 오직 한 분이신 지배자요 우리의 주님이신 예수 그리스도를 부인하는 자들입니다. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. 

로마서 (Romans) 6:1 

그러면 우리가 무엇이라고 말을 해야 하겠습니까? 은혜를 더하게 하려고, 여전히 죄 가운데 머물러 있어야 하겠습니까? What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?  

갈라디아서 (Galatians) 4:9-11 

지금은, 여러분이 하나님을 알 뿐만 아니라, 하나님께서 여러분을 알아주셨습니다. 그런데 어찌하여 그 무력하고 천하고 유치한 교훈으로 되돌아가서, 또다시 그것들에게 종노릇 하려고 합니까? 여러분이 날과 달과 계절과 해를 지키고 있으니,내가 여러분을 위하여 수고한 것이 헛될까 염려됩니다. But now that you know God--or rather are known by God--how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.  

요한복음 (John) 14:15 

"너희가 나를 사랑하면, 내 계명을 지킬 것이다. "If you love me, you will obey what I command.  

3. 하나님의 은혜 없이 살수 있다고 여길 때입니다.  

(When we assume that we can live without God’s grace).  

고린도후서 (II Corinthians) 6:2

하나님께서 말씀하시기를 "은혜의 때에, 나는 네 말을 들어주었다. 구원의 날에, 나는 너를 도와주었다" 하셨습니다. 보십시오, 지금이야말로 은혜의 때요, 지금이야말로 구원의 날입니다. For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. 

야고보서 (James) 4:6  

그러나 하나님께서는 더 큰 은혜를 주십니다. 그러므로 성경에 이르기를 "하나님께서는 교만한 자들을 물리치시고, 겸손한 사람들에게 은혜를 주신다" 하고 말합니다. But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." 

에베소서 (Ephesians) 1:7 

우리는 이 아들 안에서 하나님의 풍성한 은혜를 따라 그의 피로 구속 곧 죄 용서를 받게 되었습니다. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.
