EP 031: Let's OVARYact with guest Maria Camacho

This Girl is going to OVARYAct today….. Since September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, Daisy brings on Maria Camacho, a Cancer warrior and Survivor wanting to Tell Every Amazing Woman to check their ovaries!

Last year, Maria enlightened us on episode 016, on how to BEAT this silent killer. But this year she tells her personal inspiring story how she beat it and wants to encourage women to OVARY ACT!  She wants women to not only to worry about the  “pair but check down there”!

Like many amazing things in life that we take for granted, this month This girl Daisy along with Maria Camacho want to make sure that you do not take your ovaries for granted! Maria Camacho is not only a life long friend but she is a licensed dietician that has lived a more than average healthy life, overly educated about the subject of cancer since she lost her sister to breast cancer, so she wants to spread the good news and help woman get an early detection since it can save their lives!  Maria wears the color TEAL proudly not only to create awareness, but more because she wants to:

WOMAN!!!!

The statistics are alarming with almost 80% of women diagnosed in advanced stages of ovarian cancer, when prognosis is poor.  This horrible disease will take the lives of more than 14,000 women this year.  Here is a great PSA about OVARY action:
