Wingstop is evolving given the recent chicken wing supply shortage with a new venture, Thighstop, a virtual kitchen that delivers chicken thighs via DoorDash.

Alexandria has renamed 2 of its schools effective July 1. TC Williams will become Alexandria High School and Matthew Maury Elementary will be renamed to Naomi L. Brooks Elementary School after an Alexandrian educator, leader, citizen, wife and mother who died last year.

Montgomery County Park announced that they have placed 13 selfie stands in different parks around the county. The locations were selected based on scenic views and the diversity of landscapes around the park system.

Cat Cafe opens in Georgetown. Crumbs & Whiskers is DC's first kitten & cat cafe, which partners with local rescues to save homeless cats from euthanasia and to provide them with a comfortable, clean, free-range environment. Human visitors enjoy guilt-free, fun, educational and personal experiences with adoptable cats.

The DC area has another Olympian! 31 year old Christina Clemons from Wheaton, MD. She placed in third-place in the 100-meter hurdles and became viral because she was wearing Doritos earrings during the race. TMZ reports Dorito was her nickname in college and Clemons posted on Twitter asking for sponsorship from Doritos.
