Broccoli City Returns, Nats Go Hawaiian, National Mall is Available to Rent By the Hour, Free Britney

A DC tradition continues! Broccoli Festival returns to RFK on October 2, Lil Baby, Snoh Aalegra and Moneybagg Yo joined by Lucky Daye, Justine Skye, and Rubi Rose. Tickets are on sale Friday, June 25.

D.C. United will host club teams from El Salvador and Mexico next month for a round-robin tournament at Audi Field. The first-ever Capital Cup will feature D.C. United, Alianza FC and Club Puebla, with matches scheduled for July 7, 11 and 14.

National Mall is available to rent, one-hour time slots for the 12 softball and 12 mixed-use fields can be reserved seven days a week for $20 per hour. Players can reserve times by searching “National Mall fields” on the NPS website or calling 877-444-6777.

A pedestrian bridge collapsed onto D.C. 295 in NE, DC, after a truck hit the bridge, shutting down a major highway causing traffic delays. The highway reopened Thursday morning around 1 a.m., after having been shut down for hours.
