This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I guide us to the tarot intersection of Internal Family Systems and Carl Jung's process of individuation.

I have been deep in the world of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Jungian Depth Psychology the last few months - so, it’s not surprising that the theme for this week’s episode centers around both of these concepts.

In fact, the workshop in The Symposium this month (Working with The Swords) is also heavily influenced and inspired by IFS and Jungian concepts. If you’re already a Symposium member, this episode is a great primer for the upcoming workshop on June 15th.

In this episode, we explore and pull cards for different parts of ourselves such as the exile, the firefighter, and the manager, while also weaving in Jung's theory of the Self, the persona, and the shadow. I unexpectedly share a personal example of an exile through the lens of the Eight of Swords, and then we process the Eight of Cups and The Lovers. There's also a focus on how The High Priestess is an accurate archetype of the Self.

Let me know what cards show up for you as you pull alongside me!

Decks used: Pagan Otherworlds & Tarot Vintage (to reference traditional imagery)
