This week I talk to Sevan Sarkissian. Having studied a marketing degree, living and promoting parties in Barcelona and then going on to work with a management company called Forward Thinking Music as a Digital Marketing Manager with some of the biggest House and Techno artists in the industry.
Sevan’s most recent venture sees him operate as a freelance consultant, his current clients include Enzo Siragusa, Fuse London, CASSY and more.
He runs us through his band days, managing their promotion using Myspace and talks about the important role that social media can have in helping artists grow and become successful.
Having a healthy work/life balance, he tells us about the dangers of being surrounded by the temptations that come with constantly attending events and being integrated with the scene, along with how they helped him to become more disciplined and discover himself as a person. Sevan also tells us about the way some of his clients look after themselves and how they manage such busy schedules while staying focused.
