Welcome to the TeachStrong Podcast.

My guest today is Dr Ray Owen. Ray is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Health Psychologist with over 30 years experience of working in the NHS.

He’s also the author of two self-help books: 'Facing the Storm' and 'Living with the Enemy' - books about using cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and acceptance to navigate life’s toughest challenges.

I’ve invited Ray on the show to talk about grief.

During our conversation we discuss:

- The different models of the process of grief
- Expectations around grief
- The parallels in grieving between death and the end of a relationship
- The role of CBT, acceptance and mindfulness in grief
- How you can support others who are grieving

I hope you find the conversation useful
