Welcome to the TeachStrong Talks podcast!

Our guest today is Dr Carina Saunders. As well as being a paediatric doctor, who shares a wealth of information about pregnancy and raising healthy, resilient babies and toddlers, Carina is a microbiome researcher. In other words, she studies all of those microbes that live inside our gut and how they affect our physical and mental health.

The gut microbiome is a fascinating subject and we think it’s vital that those who work in schools understand its influence on well-being. During the episode we ask Carina to explain more about the gut microbiome, how it affects our bodies and brains, and of course what we can do to look after our good gut bugs!

If you enjoy the episode, it would mean a lot to us if you shared it with friends, family and colleagues so we can continue to spread the word about what truly will have an impact on well-being.
