Previous Episode: Catholic School Nurses

Today the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of Saint Dominic Savio, and our Talking Saints hosts are ready to share the short but impactful life of this 19th century Italian who was the youngest non-martyr to be canonized.

Laurie and Pete’s conversation includes young Dominic’s devout faith, the four promises he made after his First Communion, and how his relationship with another saint-to-be, John Bosco, led to holiness for both of them.

In his 14 years on earth, through his works of piety and love for his neighbor, Dominic Savio blazed a path to heaven that today’s youth can follow: “I can’t do big things.  But I want all I do, even the smallest thing, to be for the greater glory of God.”

Saint Dominic Savio, patron of choirboys and the falsely accused, pray for us!

Our hosts, as well, in this Year of Saint Joseph, continue the recitation of “The Litany of Saint Joseph,” which can be found here: https://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/prayers-and-devotions/litanies/litany-of-saint-joseph
