Tabor Church is a church in the great city of Chicago. We live in a busy time and we want to help equip and encourage fellow Christ followers. Our goal is to have two different types of podcasts: one will be a quick devotion style for those who want a quick word to start or end their day...or anywhere in between. The second kind of podcast we will offer is an interview style conversation with people in different sectors of life that are learning to live out their faith. This will encourage each of us to find value in our everyday work and the people God puts in front of us.

Asking Questions is Good

October 01, 2021 15:00 - 7 minutes - 5.44 MB

One of the pillars of my ministry is asking questions. Doubts have not always been encouraged to be shared out in the open, but why? Is it because we are afraid to say, "I don't know!" Or we just don't want to discuss it? We need to encourage each other to ask a lot of questions and to express our doubts because it is better they see light than to remain in the darkness.  The music on the podcast is from John Nugent. God's Word in Reality TV

September 29, 2021 15:00 - 8 minutes - 5.94 MB

Sometimes I think reality television would have been a huge hit in the Old Testament era. People watch because all the drama and the Father's of the faith in the OT had plenty of drama. Some of it seems sensationalized but wait it is playing out in real families. Genesis 27- Isaac is going to give his oldest son the blessing and yet the younger son steals it. Dum dum dum... The title is meant to be very literal but also very metaphorical. Colossians 3 gives us a picture of the things we need to take off and the things we need to put on. We are spending time on introspection of the church. We need to evaluate ourselves and our motivations. Repentance and Forgiveness should be a big part of that.
