Young Twitch fan caught giving $20k of parent's money to streamers

A teenage Twitch fan has racked up some serious charges on their parent's debit card after an alleged $20,000 spree on donations and subscriptions, without the card holder's knowledge.
According to their parents, who posted a worried plea on the official Twitch subreddit, their "minor" child "spent almost $20k using a debit card on subscriptions & donations, cleaning out my bank accounts without my knowledge or permission. Years of savings gone in 17 days."
Some helpful responders suggested that the parent's only recourse would be to contact their bank directly and report the transactions as fraudulent. The bank could then, hopefully, begin the process of chargebacks.
The parent said that she got the names of the streamers from their child, and they included an NBA and NFL player, and three other "super popular" streamers.

Sodapoppin makes troll apology after getting banned on Twitch

Sodapoppin is one of the biggest. The popular variety streamer has been streaming since 2012, amassing over 2.7 million followers in that time thanks to his entertaining and unique content.
his Twitch channel received a temporary suspension on July 20. Though, instead of being disheartened by it, Sodapoppin decided to have a little fun with the ban.
“Haha I know why I was banned and u don't :)” he tweeted, before following it up with a jokey apology video. In his video, the streamer apologized to his family, friends, and viewers for the misstep.
He also joked that, given he’s been in lockdown for a few months, he was desperate for “female attention” and had to go into VRChat. Yet, things seemingly got a bit out of hand and Twitch might not have taken too kindly to the content – even though Soda added that he and Twitch love each other.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer Makes Grappling Hook A Pickup, 4-Player Split-Screen Confirmed

Halo Infinite's gameplay debut at the Xbox event was focused exclusively on showcasing the campaign, which features open-world elements and some new tools for Master Chief to play with. Chief among them is the grappling hook, known as the grappleshot
Also confirmed is four-player split-screen co-op support for Halo Infinite. This is a feature first announced back in 2018, but given how things can change, there was perhaps some question of whether it would indeed make the final cut.
This is a reversal from Halo 5: Guardians, which cut split-screen.

The Gentle Side of Twitch

“Hi! I see you, but I’m focused on the reading right now. I can chat during the next break!” This message popped up on the stream from Ryan Blake Hall, better known as Storyteller Mars on Twitch.
He was busy reading from Henry Wysham Lanier’s A Book of Giants: Tales of Very Tall Men of Myth, Legend, History, and Science (published in 1922). Sitting in front of decoratively open books and teacups, he even did character voices—gruff, booming voices for the giants, a calm voice for narration.
Most streams are focused primarily on video games, but there are also streams from musicians, knitters, storytellers, makeup artists, scientists, and photographers. There are streamers sewing costumes, snapping together LEGO bricks, and creating digital paintings of their favorite characters

Production on Dwayne Johnson's BLACK ADAM Reportedly Being Delayed Until 2021

DC fans might have to wait a little longer before we see Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam get made. The movie was supposed to start shooting this summer, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production schedule will reportedly be pushed back to 2021.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, production on Johnson’s Netflix action movie Red Notice is going to have to finish shooting later this year. He needs to finish that project first before he jumps into making Black Adam. Because of the delays in Red Notice's shooting schedule, Black Adam won't begin shooting until 2021.
The movie will also be part of the first-ever DC FanDome event on August 22. Black Adam is currently still scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2021. We’ll just have to wait and see if that release date will hold.

The Original Ghostbusters Cast Will Suit Up in Their Jumpsuits Again in GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE

We know that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson will be reprising their roles in Ghostbusters for Ghostbusters: Afterlife. What we don’t know is how big of a role they will play in the film. However, thanks to a recent interview with Hudson, we’ve learned that the team will be suiting up in their jumpsuits again, which probably also means that they’ll be gearing up with their proton packs as well.
directed Jason Reitman, Jason was one of the kids at the Brownstone Birthday party. He was the one that quoted his father who had said that the Ghostbusters were "full of crap, and that's why (they) went out of business:
"Jason Reitman — who actually was in the second movie, he was the kid who opens the second movie, and I just remember him being around the set on both of the movies. So I know that he grew up with them, it's very personal to him, he wrote an amazing script, and he's established himself as a director on his own right. He's a wonderful director and so when this started to happen, and because Jason was involved, I felt this would actually happen, I was really excited about it.

RHPD reports: Man calls cops after hamburger with mayo left at his door

Matter of record: An officer was sent June 11 to a local motel regarding a Florida man “wanting to file a report about someone leaving a hamburger outside his hotel room door.” Here it is.

“According to Bryan County 911, (the complainant) advised them when he picked up the hamburger, he got mayo on his hands and wanted a report. Upon our arrival, we began speaking to (the complainant). (He) he picked up a hamburger from in front of his hotel room door and got mayo on his hand. (He) said he wasn’t thinking and did not wash his hands until about 10 minutes later.

(He) said he placed the hamburger in his trash bag, made contact with his hotel management, and gave them his trash bag to be properly disposed of. (He) expressed his concern with getting mayo on his hands and the possibility of contracting something from it. (He) said according to his television and someone named “Como” that he needed to report the incident in case he becomes sick in a week.

(He) was also advised not to call 911 unless it was a true emergency. (He) was apologetic but felt him touching the mayo was an emergency. (He) wanted to document the incident.

Therefore, he was given a business card with a case report number and briefed on how to obtain a copy of the report.”
