"Dr DisRespect Gotta Be So Mad"- PewDiePie Speaks About Twitch Ban

“Three months ago, Twitch was ready to put down the money as an investment on this guy. And now he’s permanently banned like that’s crazy. Dude, Dr DisRespect’s gotta be so mad he didn’t sign with Mixer”, PewDiePie said.
PewDiePie said, “He signed with Twitch hoping for like the future on Twitch instead of grabbing the big money or cash right. He’s like ‘Yeah, Mixer’s not probably gonna take off. I’m probably better off signing with Twitch. “I bet that’s what he thought. I’m saying this now, I don’t know what he did. Three months ago, what happened in that period, so Mixer shut down and then Ninja and Shroud just got banks for no work.”

A fan theory was that twitch wanted to recoup their money and and used a ban to cover up this fact Pewds said I don’t think that’s the causing factor but it’s definitely an incentive. It’s like Mixer shut down, so he can’t go over there. So, if we ban him because he was clearly talking to Mixer about signing with them. If we ban him, we don’t have to f***ing pay him. It doesn’t make sense either. I mean, how many millions do you think he paid them”, PewDiePie stated.

Twitch breaks records again in Q2, topping 5B total hours watched

Twitch had already broken viewership records in the first quarter of 2020 amid coronavirus lockdowns, surpassing 3 billion total hours watched in a single quarter for the first time. In the second quarter, it appears that Twitch has broken that record and several others once again.
Twitch saw a massive 62.7% increase in hours watched from Q1 2020 to reach 5 billion hours watched in the second quarter.
This figure was also up by 83.1% year-over-year and helps to cement Twitch’s place as the leader among game-streaming services, with a 67.6% market share.

Dr Disrespect breaks silence on Twitch ban: 'We don't know why'
Dr Disrespect has finally opened up on one of the biggest running stories on the internet, his Twitch ban. He still doesn't know the reason why his channel was removed and has confirmed his time on the platform is over, for good.
2 months into his new contract he found out while watching a friends stream
Amazon “As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”
In a second interview, this time with PCGamer, He said: "Obviously, for legal counsel, I have to be careful here. But I can say however, that I will not be returning to Twitch, so, I mean, that's it."
"Let's just say all the cards are on the table. I'm more focused on just making sure whatever we do next, whether it's a platform move or not, that it's the right decision for the community and Champions Club that follows me. And that makes sense to what I want to continue to accomplish with this character in terms of taking things to the next level, and whether it's streaming or outside of streaming. So it's just being conscientious of that decision."

A Twitter poll held by Mike Andronico at Tom's Guide showed 61 percent of respondents would buy fewer games if they all cost $70. Which is understandable, given the perilous world economic situation at present.
