Richard Lewis: Twitch is failing its users with scam streams
The scam works like this. They choose a popular streamer, one that would attract a sizable audience and have sponsors capable of providing giveaways. Then they register a Twitch account with a name that is as close to theirs as you can possibly claim. Next, they copy their avatar, details from their profile page, and then download footage of one of their streams using a program like Twitch Leecher. They then create an overlay that says you can get free prizes, typically skins, as part of one of their sponsors’ giveaways and that you just follow the link to an external site.
The article is interesting because it goes on to bash detractors on both sides, making fun of corporate shills who will defend twitch for doing nothing  and also trashing “reddit edgelords” for defending the attempts saying if you are too stupid to realize you are being scammed too bad.
Twitch could be doing a lot more to stop this. You may recall when Valve’s doomed card game Artifact sank to the point where you could fit all of its active players in a phone booth. (showing Christchurch shooting on loop, scams, etc)Twitch shut down new creators from streaming to the category and took legal action where warranted against egregious offenders. 

Red - What can twitch do about this in your opinion? I think this is already against tos.

The streamer then revealed the eye-popping amount of money she spends each month to run her operations. "Business expense by far is what I spend most of my income on. Probably like $10-20k a month just paying other people out."

Ghost - Ghost obviously none of us have spent that amount on our streams but what sort of balance do you think a small streamer needs between spending and what they make?

Two major drops of confidential Nintendo code and documentation — now popularly referred to as the Nintendo Gigaleak — have seemingly revealed previously unknown canceled games, prototypes, source code, development tools, internal communication, and more. It marks what may well be the largest leak of internal video game information ever released.
Those with the files noticed a folder titled ‘Luigi’, and loaded the contents into existing SM64 mods, creating the model you can see on screen. If legitimate, it confirms decades of rumors and speculation about the other Mario brother appearing in the game in some form. The game’s files also reveal beta-only enemy types.
Other stuff includes, prototype for a pokemon mmo, Early maps of Ocarina of time, Proto Yoshi Island and Super Donkey (speculated to be a proto Mario world 2)

Joe Rogan says grinding games is “a waste of time” for most people
Joe Rogan, the immensely popular comedian and podcast host, described video games as a "waste of time" for most people, during his episode with author, fitness guru and businessman Joe De Sena.
"Video games are a real problem," Rogan said. "They're a real problem. You know why? Because they're f**king fun. You do them, and they're real exciting, but you don't get anywhere."
"There are kids that make a lot of f**king money playing video games," he finished. "But you have to be adaptable, you have to able to play multiple video games. Because the one game you get really good at, what are the odds it'll be around in 5 years time?"

Ghost  - How do you feel about Rogans take, which matches up probably with all our parents growing up?

DC's new Batman: Death in the Family animated film will be interactiveon July 28, as the first trailer for the new “Death in the Family” animated Batman film was released by DC.

It won’t just be any regular movie though, as it will rely on viewers to make decisions throughout the story to affect its final outcome.

The story focuses on the death of Jason Todd, who became Robin after the departure of Dick Grayson, and his eventual transformation into the violent vigilante Red Hood.
Maybe after all this time, we'll finally get to see what would happen if Jason Todd hadn't been handed a death sentence by Batman fans all those years ago, an outcome that's been widely discussed and explored since. The only surefire way to find out though will be to watch "Death in the Family" when it releases on Blu-ray and Digital HD later  this Fall.

Star Wars director Ron Howard responds to Solo sequel Disney Plus rumors
2018’s Solo was one of the biggest flops of Disney’s new Star Wars empire. It arrived just six months after the most divisive release in the franchise yet, The Last Jedi, and was the first Disney flick to cop mounting fan backlash on its bottom line. 
The trilogy plan was suspended, and it looked like Solo’s bold plan had been scuppered just a single film into its run. That is, until new rumors rumbled to life earlier this month, suggesting Disney was planning a secret Solo revival.
Ehrenreich (solo) himself was the first to set the flame ablaze, telling Esquire he’d “heard some stuff, but nothing concrete." Soon after, CBR reported that the idea of taking Solo to Disney Plus had “evolved greatly” so far this year.~~~Howard said in regards to a rumored Solo followup. “[But], there’s no sequel planned now.”

Naked man tells Charlotte County deputies he's Batman

A naked man walking around at an Englewood hotel identified himself as “Batman” when deputies asked him for his name.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said they went to the Suncoast Inn on South McCall Road late Friday after the manager reported a naked man had tried to get into his room.

Deputies found Christopher L. Jackson, 49, sitting at a table outside the hotel. He was uncooperative and said only “I’m Batman” when they asked for his name. He told them he had a room at the hotel and locked himself out by accident, but the hotel manager said Jackson was not a guest there.

A review of surveillance footage showed Jackson walk to the hotel from S. McCall Rd., before he tried to enter multiple rooms, one of which he removed his clothes in front of, deputies said. A search of his clothes revealed a glass pipe, according to CCSO.

Jackson was arrested at the hotel for exposure and loitering and prowling. He also had a warrant out of Sarasota County for a larceny charge. He remains at the Charlotte County Jail.
