Characteristics of an Abuse:

An abuser is going to try to control anything and everything.

An abuser will try to convince you that you never do anything right.

An abuser will exhibit extreme jealousy.

An abuser will alienate you from your family.

There will be a cycle of apologies and repeat actions.

An abuser will play the victim.

An abuser controls the finances – often putting you on a closely monitored allowance.

An abuser will typically constantly bother you about where you are or who you are with.

An abuser will often physically restrain you during arguments.

Sometimes, an abuser will force you to use drugs/alcohol.
