Today’s episode , I share some of the information about maternal mortality and what is contributing to this as well as get to interview. Ms Shantel Pipkin, otherwise known as “The Womb Sister”, who is a certified birthing educator, doula and placenta specialist. In this episode, we get a chance to speak on why doulas are such effective support systems for black women and what we can learn from their approach in supporting each other even outside of pregnancy. We also talk about how fear of the unknown is one of the biggest barriers that leads to our anxiety as moms of color and how lack during our childhood is one of the biggest contributors to our supermom tendencies.
