You'll want to really take some time to listen to this powerful episode.

In this episode of the Melanin, Medicine & Motherhood podcast, I interview  Michele Johnson, certified Family Medicine physician assistant, telemedicine provider, fibromyalgia survivor and author of the international best-selling book “Pain Free: How To Live A Full Life Despite Chronic Pain”. More than ever, during this pandemic, so many of us are dealing with pain- physically, mentally and emotionally. We often don’t realize that at times like this we have a choice to make – “Do I succumb to the pain?” or “Do I make it my secret weapon?”

It’s a really touching episode for me because We share our stories about challenges of being both patient and provider, going through the valley and how our pain has made us stronger than ever.

Michele's work focuses on inspiring, motivating and healing chronic pain and invisible illnesses through holistic health practices. These therapies have worked for patients and in her own incredible journey to live a full and thriving life despite a devastating diagnosis. She has been featured on several podcasts and Sirius XM Radio, Michele’s passion to help other chronic pain warriors live to their fullest potential shines through every time she speaks

In this episode, we discuss:

How it is never too late to walk into your purpose The importance of making space for reflection to make your next steps Why you need to notice what is draining in your life, and be courageous to make change The power of vulnerability even as medical professionals Seeing the signs of when it is time to move into your purpose, even when it is uncomfortable. Learning to be the authentic you and the myth of perfection.
