Hello Language Lovers!

Today I’m bringing you the fifth episode in this summer’s “Summer School” series where all summer long we are having conversations with language teachers. In today’s episode I’m speaking with Duda, an english teacher in Brazil and the founder of Divergent English.

I first met Duda months ago when she reached out to me on Instagram to tell me about her language classes. Since then, we’ve had a chance to work with one another on several workshops for her students and it’s been a blast! Her students are so much fun and very supportive of one another and they even teach me some Portuguese here and there. I’ve always had a big crush on Brazil and the culture, the music, the food and the language and in this episode it was so much fun to learn about how diverse Brazil is beyond the ways it’s portrayed in pop culture.

So in this episode, Duda shares her story of how she became fluent in four languages, how she started her own classes with Divergent English, how the culture in her state shares some traditions with Uruguay and we’re even showing love for one of our favorite pop singers. To find Duda, click the links in the show notes and if you’re in Brazil and ready to start your English language journey, reach out to her and let her know how she can help you on your way to becoming a more confident English speaker!
