Brian Stubbs is part of a unique band of professional football players that only ever played for one club.  ‘Stubbsy’, as he was affectionately known, was tough-tackling, no-nonsense centre-half that made 426 appearances for Notts County Football Club – scoring 21 goals – over an 11-year period.  He enjoyed many successes under the astute management of Jimmy Sirrel and Jack Wheeler.
