Mr. Maple and Mr. Pine is a story about a maple seed that was carried off on the wings of a bird to a grove of pines. The pines didn’t want the maple there but he still grew tall and strong. When a lot of the small pines get cut down and a cabin gets built a young girl comes to play under Mr. Maple and Mr. Pine. Later they are also cut down but will be reunited with the young girl at the end of the story.
