On the show today, I've had the pleasure of Interviewing Dr. Ted Naiman

Ted Naiman is a board-certified Family Medicine physician in the Department of Primary Care at a leading major medical center in Seattle. His research and medical practice are focused on the practical implementation of diet and exercise for health optimization. He has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and utilizes engineering principles when dealing with complex systems such as human health and nutrition.

Ted is called the diet doctor and is one of the leading voices in the world when it comes to using dietary interventions to optimize health and wellness. He has appeared in many international interviews and often talks about the danger of eating processed carbohydrates and low-fat meals. Ted is an author and has written a great book called the P.E diet.

His work piqued my interest as he explains the protein to energy ratio in almost every single diet. The P: E Diet explains exactly why FOOD CHOICE is everything — once you choose what to eat, your body will tell you how much to eat. This approach teaches you how to eat Intuitively to achieve your goals, without unnecessary tracking or micromanaging quantity.

His take on the exercise is that all you need for the optimum adaptive response to exercise is to generate maximum tension in your muscles for the maximum time possible. All exercises can be broken down into three exercise motions: PUSH, PULL, and LEGS. This requires NO EQUIPMENT WHATSOEVER and can be accomplished with bodyweight only. By maximizing, intensity and Frequencyyou can build muscle with absolute MINIMUM TIME.

We get into really interesting topics on the podcast today. Have fun and take some notes.
