On this episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with my aunt Cheryl while she was visiting Arizona and talking to her all about the life resumé that she has created for herself, alongside her late husband and my uncle Bill.

Together they have traveled all over the world, experienced different cultures, foods and taught some cooking classes along the way as well.

They have upwards of 20 cookbooks which have sold over 2 million copies collectively and they have won 4 James Beard Awards.

Some things we talk about are —

Why cooking brings her so much joy, and also the advice she would give to someone like me who sees it as more of a “chore”

What the most rewarding part about her journey has been

How she continued to follow this passion despite the passing of Bill

Her advice for someone wanting to take the leap from their full time job to work freelance and go all in on their passion

All of this and more, including a tangent about chickens and eggs. I had a lot of fun with this one and I’ve wanted to make it happen for a long time, so I really hope you enjoy.
