My very first guest for season 9 of the New Wave Leadership podcast is none other than Marissa Loewen! While she has a corporate background in media, marketing, communications, online sales and web design, her first foray into business ownership was a thriving food service business at the age of 11. (Yes, you read that right!) These days, Marissa working with small business owners to create the rules in order to create thriving, resilient, prosperous businesses that fuel the business owner.

We had a spirited conversation to kick off the season in style. Tune in to hear all about:

Leading yourself first, because leadership is more than just decision making Having time for yourself, when you're building up those around you Removing the shame and judgment around making mistakes Her biggest goal and wish in life (and why it ISN'T perfection) Seeing others as whole people, so that we can see ourselves as whole people

"If bad stuff happens, I know that I've got the community, the support network, the skills, the tools, in order to go an be in it. Face it, conquer it, do whatever I need to do, but get through it. [...] You can have all the tools, you can have all the systems, but you need the people. I need it, as much as I'm an introvert, as much as I'm shy. I know that I need people. And if I've got that, I think I'm golden."
