Nobody is immune to suffering. In the first part of his sermon on Psalm 13, Vijay suggests that suffering can make us feel utterly alone: abandoned by God, left to our own counsel and overwhelmed. Suffering teaches us much about the nature of trusting God. He invites us in our suffering to trust him not only when he makes sense to us, but also when his ways do not make sense.
